Today I was called out by one of my clients.
I was not easy to hear but I needed to hear it.
And it got me thinking…
Is it possible to obtain long-term health and wellness without being being AWARE of our weaknesses and faults?
That is what I talk about today. Click on the video below:
Please COMMENT and let me know what you think about self-integrity!
Life is Good!
Hey Griff! It’s been a long time my friend. Your video made me think today. Self – integrity is a great concept. Whatever with it is we want to accomplish in our lives – fitness goals, mental mastery, social goals, family goals, educational goals, spiritual goals, etc. – we can really only accomplish them to the extent that we gain self mastery, And we certainly need self-integrity for self mastery.
I hope you and your family are doing well. You’re the best!
It’ great to hear from you Daniel. Your thoughts are very well taken and I know you have a very high level of self-integrity. Life is always teaching us right? You are a good man my friend. Miss ya and please tell your family hello from me! 😉
I’ve thought about this many times over the last few years. I’ve long realized that if I can’t keep a promise to myself I have no foundation. Keeping promises to myself reinforces my own sense of value and keeps me motivated, as I learned the last few days. Just this weekend I did not keep a promise to myself only to arrive at the gym Monday feeling less driven, less focused, bummed…just negative. It took me a bit of reflection to realize I was disappointed in myself for breaking that promise. So, how to get over it? Admitting I disappointed myself–feeling it and accepting it; retracing my steps to failure last week so I can avoid repeating them, and forgiving myself. I feel much better and am ready to try again; my motivation and hope are back!
So, yes, keeping your promises to yourself is vital. If you do mess up, be sure to own up to yourself, forgive, and move on.
Very well spoken Becky and I KNOW that you have a very high level of self-integrity so it is not surprising to me that you are very sensitive to breaches of self-integrity. We are all human and we will all have the occasional breaches but power comes from awarness and lessons learned. You are amazing my friend.
